Bruce Dale Norris, Sr.

Bruce Dale Norris, Sr., age 59, of Greer SC, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday June 21, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dale was born on October 23, 1963, to his parents, Bruce and Margaret Norris, of Pelham, SC. He is preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Laurenda Satterfield Norris, of the home; his children, Rena Norris Merritt (Nathan Merritt) of Simpsonville, Bruce Dale Norris, Jr. (Alyssa Norris) of Greer, his grandchildren Maggie Merritt, Charlotte Merritt, Bruce Dale Norris, III “Tripp”; his brothers, Phil Norris (Brenda) of Lyman, Dean Norris (Leisa) of Taylors, Tony Norris (Sally) of Greenville; his sister, Tijuana Norris Davis (Barry) of Greer; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marvin and Dale Satterfield; his sister-in-law, Melissa Satterfield Carroll (Robbie); his brother-in-law, Chad Satterfield (Marty); and several nephews and nieces, of whom he loved dearly. Dale is the owner of Satterfield Lumber, LLC in Greer, SC. He has proudly provided crates, pallets, and service to Dodge (Reliance Electric) for more than 27 years. His wife, Laurenda, is the owner of Laurenda’s Family Restaurant & Catering in Greer, SC. Dale and Laurenda would both like to say thank you, from the bottom of their hearts to the employees of both companies, who are more like family, and have kept both businesses running while Dale courageously fought cancer. Dale, a Christian, believed in God whole-heartedly. He was a hardworking man who never met a stranger, and he loved with his whole heart. His true joy in life was spending time with his wife, his children, and especially his 3 grandchildren; whom he loved so much and fought so hard to live for. He also enjoyed QT and Wal-Mart trips with his Charlotte, breakfast with his friends, tinkering with cars, fishing in his pond, and dirt track car racing in his younger years. He bravely battled cancer for the last 14 months of his life, with his family by his side the entire time. The way that he is already missed by so many, is a true testament of the Husband, Father, Pa, Brother, Friend, and man that he was. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, at Pelham First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Patrick Clark and Pastor Rose Cox. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Dustin Norris, Jody Norris, Derrick Davis, Thomas Satterfield, Bryan Carroll, and T.J.
