William “Billy” Woodrow Lawrence, Jr., 69, passed away March 8, 2022. A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late William Woodrow Lawrence, Sr. and Julia Thrift Lawrence, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a retired plumber, and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, Recina Lawrence of Lyman; two brothers, Jeff Lawrence and Brad Lawrence both of Spartanburg; a sister, Cynthia Smith of Milton, Florida; and several grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at Wood Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg County Cancer Society, 295 E. Main St., Suite, 100, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
