Walter "Bruce" Adams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On July 18, 2022, Walter Adams, better known as Bruce, left his earthly home for a place in heaven at the age of 74. Bruce was born in Greer, SC, to his late parents Audrey S. Adams and Walter J. Adams. He was a 1967 graduate of Greer High School. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served his country during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Enterprise, CVAN-65, from 1967-1971. He then worked for Sealed Air Corporation in Simpsonville, SC for 38 years before retiring. Bruce was a loving, diligent, and devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His laughter, generosity, and love will be deeply missed and never forgotten but he now truly enjoys a healed body. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Griffith Adams; two sons, Terry Adams (Jennifer) of Greer and Andrew Adams (January) of Taylors; and five wonderful grandchildren who were among the greatest joys of his life, Bishop, Mackenzie, Colin, Conner, and Blue Adams. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Jeremiah Oliver. Visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 410 S.
