Tommy M. Cromer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Tommy Merrill Cromer, 75, went home to be with Lord on August 1, 2022, while surrounded by his family. A native of Greer, son of the late Melvin Merrill and Evelyn Casey Cromer, he was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a retiree of Mitsubishi of Greer after 28 years. Tommy loved the Lord. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Beaver Dam Freewill Baptist Church in Greer. His greatest joy by far was his family, his loving wife of 55 years, his children, and grandchildren. In addition to family, he loved music, old cars, and fishing. He was the President of Greer Classic Car Club for over 20 years and the bass player for Carolina Sky Bluegrass Band. Tommy is survived by his wife, Anne Mullinax Cromer of the home; two children, Jonathan Cromer (Crystal) of Inman and Jill Bruce (Jay) of Lyman; seven grandchildren, Brandy Blackwell Keating (Justin), Taylor Cromer Cox (Keith), Luke Cromer, Kaylee Williams, Isabella Salmeron, Ellie Cromer, and Walker Williams; two great-grandchildren, Connor and Sawyer Keating; two sisters, Alice Collins from Arizona and Kay Carpenter from Rock Hill; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Donald, Earl, and Mickey Cromer and one sister, Janice Howard. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Zoltan Thornburg. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home.
