Sandra Kuusisto

July 15, 1980 - May 28, 2022

Sandra Lee Kuusisto, 41, was born in Peterborough, NH to Daniel Everrett and Kathleen Marie (Hill) Kuusisto on July 15, 1980. She graduated from Mascenic Regional High School in 1999. Her struggle with fabry disease contributed to an interest in the health field. She was an advocate for the Hill family with the Genzyme organization. Sandra had a heart for helping people through their health struggles and provided home health care for multiple individuals over many years. Sandra enjoyed her position at Lowcountry Behavioral Health and had recently received a promotion as the head secretary. Sandra grew up in a large Christian family, it was her faith and family that carried her throughout her life. She loved her children fiercely. Sandra could always be counted on for coffee runs, impromptu adventures to the beach, and shopping trips. If you needed to be talked out of buying something, Sandra was not the person to go to. Her beautiful and free spirit left a mark on all who knew her, she will be deeply missed. Sandra is survived by her daughter Desiree Pearl Stenersen of Taylors; her son Ty Kenton Stenersen of Taylors; four brothers, Eric Kuusisto (Renee) of Greer, Jason Kuusisto (Virginia) of Greer, Collin Kuusisto (Samantha) of Mt. Pleasant, and Ryan Kuusisto of Greer; three sisters, Jodie Evans (Brian) of Greer, Wanda Knisley (Jared) of New Ipswich, New Hampshire, and Renee Wheaton (Rich) of Sharon, New Hampshire; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Brandon Kuusisto. Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Eastside Apostolic Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at Eastside Apostolic Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Marti Onermaa and Pastor Roy Geesey. A private burial with family will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.thewoodmortuary.com
