Robert Randall "Bobby" Maddox

Robert Randall “Bobby” Maddox, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 5, 2022. Born May 7, 1936, to the late Charlton Todd and Ethel Odell Smith Maddox, he grew up in Dunean and Greenville, SC and went to Parker High School. Bobby started playing baseball in the 4th or 5th grade, also played for American Spinning, Dunean, Brandon Mills, and West Gantt in the Tri-County League. Mr. Maddox enjoyed playing baseball, playing golf, riding horses and motorcycles. He loved singing for the Lord and always had a song for every occasion. Bobby drove a truck for Winn Dixie, JP Stevens, and Wilson Trucking Company. Surviving are his sweetheart of 61 years, Frances Geraldine “Gerry” Caplan Maddox of Belton; one daughter, Tampey Maddox Howell and her husband Kevin of Cleveland; three granddaughters, Jessica Michelle Howell, Kayla Marquelle Howell Black and her husband Christian; and Lauren Mackenzie Howell; one great-grandson, Wesley Conrad Black; soon to be great-granddaughter, Eden Marquelle Black and two sisters, Linda Raines of Belton; Sybil Breazeale of Taylors. Mr. Maddox was predeceased by two brothers, Rudolph Charlton, and Leroy Maddox. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens, Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC.
