Ray Belue

Charles Ray Belue, 86, passed away April 17, 2022. A native of Greer, son of the late Charles Louis and Mary Alice Turner Belue, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard Reserves, was a retired merchandise consultant, and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He loved to shag with his wife, Percie, the beach, working in his yard, sitting on his back screen porch listening to the birds and admiring his flowers, listening to his grandsons make music, and his country. He loved Jesus and accepted him as his Savior as a child and was baptized at Apalache Baptist Church, Greer. He was proud of his work and believed in doing a job well, a legacy he left to his children. He adored his kind, faithful, loving wife and loved her with all his heart. Surviving are his wife, Perseveranda “Percie” Zamora Belue of the home; a daughter, Wanda Belue Jones (Glenn) of Augusta, Georgia; three sons, Mike Belue (Shirley) of Waynesville, North Carolina, Joe Belue of Greer, and Chris Pittman (Denice) of Las Vegas, Nevada; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mr. Belue was predeceased by three brothers, William Clint Belue, Sr., Earnest Jackson Belue, and Ralph Daniel Belue, Sr. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Lewis Walker. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the church. The family is at their respective homes.
