Loyd Stanley Black Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Loyd Stanley Black, 73, passed away December 8, 2021. A native of Greenville County, son of the late Lloyd Black and Lillie Bright Black Smith, he was a United States Navy Veteran, a retired truck driver for Overnite Transportation for 29 years, and a member of Conestee Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving are his wife Cynthia Ann Smith Black of the home; one son, Gerald Black (Cynthia Grooms) of the home; one brother, James Steven Hawkins (Dianne) of Enoree; and multiple nieces and nephews. Mr. Black was predeceased by one brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, December 12, 2021, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Eddie Crocker and Rev. Wayne Hinton. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:15 PM Sunday, December 12, 2021, at The Wood Mortuary. Webcasting of the service will be available at www.thewoodmortuary.com. Pallbearers will be Randy Caudle, Blake Bell, Chad Arrowood, Steven Vaughn, Clint Pace and Scott Satterfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene McAlhaney, Rodney Hubbard, Darrell Reeves, Charles Coker, Tracy Hawkins, Scott Hawkins, and Wayne Hawkins. The family will be at the home.
