Larry Campbell

February 25, 1939 - February 3, 2022

Larry Earl Campbell, 82, passed away February 3, 2022. A native of Greenville County, son of the late Fred Campbell and Ruby Sudduth Rogers, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, retired employee of Homelite/John Deere, member of Highland Baptist Church and a member of the Bailey Masonic Lodge #178. Surviving are his wife, Margie Barnett Campbell of the home; one daughter, Kim Pendergrass (Ray) of Greer; one brother, Vance Campbell of Greer; two sisters, Jean Williams of Campobello and Jody Shytle of Landrum; and two grandchildren, Zach Pendergrass and Hannah Pendergrass. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Tony Pearson and Rev. Alex Kingsbury. Webcasting of the service will be available at www.thewoodmortuary.com. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be held 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary prior to the service. Acting as pallbearers will be Mike Wooten, Keith Painter, Brandon Wooten, Travis Campbell, Ricky Griffin, and Tony Barnett. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church, Post Office Box 777, Taylors, SC 29687. Online condolences may be made at www.thewoodmortuary.com.
