Judy Roberts Burrell, 75, passed away February 5, 2022, at her home, under hospice care, after a prolonged illness. A daughter of the late James Roberts and Arlene King Crisson, she attended Davenport Junior High and Greer Senior High School, receiving her diploma. She participated in many school functions and activities. She was an active member of the Fountain Inn Wesleyan Church where she used her considerable talents to enrich the congregation, young and old. She was an independent, creative person able to size up many projects, from start to finish, with little effort. She managed a car dealership, did interior decorating, owned and operated several different businesses, sold real estate properties and worked as a DMV license examiner, just to name a few positions she held during her work life. She is survived by her husband, Jessie Lee Burrell; a son, Eddie Mayfield of Lyman; a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Mayfield; a stepson, Michael D. Burrell of Campobello; a stepdaughter, Connie Burrell Crow of Lyman; a grandson, Wil Mayfield of Spartanburg; a brother, James Allison Roberts of Davidson, NC; a sister, Reba Marshall of Reidville; and stepfather, Austin T. Crisson of Greer. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Wood Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Robert L. Broom. Pallbearers will be Danny Walker Marshall, Kerry Dale Marshall, Derek Ray Marshall, David Austin Marshall, Zachary Dale Marshall, and Edward Wilson Mayfield. Visitation will be held after the service at the cemetery. The family is at their respective homes.
