Judith "Judy" Amador

October 21, 1940 - May 27, 2022

Judith “Judy” Reese Amador, 81, formerly of Greer, South Carolina, passed away on May 27, 2022, in Costa Rica. She was the wife of the late Francisco Amador, daughter of the late James William “Bill” and Lula Elizabeth “Libby” Champion Reese, and of the Catholic faith. Judy worked for many years at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, Belk at Haywood Mall, and ultimately retired from Greer High School. Surviving are one son, Federico Amador (Michelle) of Simpsonville, South Carolina; one brother-in-law, Kostas Papakostas of Simpsonville, South Carolina; two nieces, Katherine Papakostas and Konstance De Oliveira (Werik) all of Simpsonville, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Steve Amador (Sacha), Isabella and Gabriel; two great-grandchildren, Sienna and Sebastian; great-nephew, Luka; great-niece, Zoe; and first cousin, Nina Elizabeth Godfrey. She was also predeceased by one sister, Sandra Kay Reese Papakostas. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Father Bart Leon with webcasting available at www.thewoodmortuary.com. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Fed and Michelle Amador.
