Frank Lewis

March 29, 1933 - January 10, 2021

Franklin Delano Lewis, 87, passed away January 10, 2021. A native of Chester County, son of the late Henry Newman and Geneva Knight Lewis, he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and a member of Apalache Baptist Church. Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Ann Cameron Lewis of the home; a son, Ray F. Lewis (Cheri) of Greer; a daughter, Debbie Arflin of Greer; a sister, Mary Lewis Harrison (Donnie) of Columbia; sister-in-law, Francis Lewis of Troutman, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Michael Lewis (Jonna), Heather Arflin (C. Richard Birkholz) and Christopher Arflin; and three great-grandchildren, Brantley Lewis, Matthew Birkholz and Evelyn Birkholz. He was predeceased by two brothers, Henry Barron Lewis and William Howard Lewis. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Apalache Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Eddie Cooper, Rev. Jerry Bryant, Rev. Butch Howard and Dr. Benny Littlejohn with webcasting available at www.theapp.church . Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Lewis, Brantley Lewis, Christopher Arflin, Ricky Arflin, Richard Birkholz, John Price, Danny Stepp, Roger Ware and Trent Staton. Honorary escort will be the Golden Hearts of Apalache Baptist Church. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the church. The body will lie in state 12:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home.
