Lewis Douglas Hughes, 75, passed away February 12, 2021. A native of Charleston, SC, son of the late Lewis Walker and Harriette Mae Polk Hughes, he was a United States Navy Veteran and an engineering consultant. Surviving are one son, Walker Manning Hughes; one brother, Dennis L. Hughes of Greer; and one sister, Donna Marie Hughes Summey. Mr. Hughes was predeceased by one son, Lawrence Douglas “Larry” Hughes and one brother, David K. Hughes. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
