Donald Steve Shetley, 81 years old, died on March 19, 2022. Mr. Shetley was born June 28, 1943, in Big Stone Gap Virginia. He moved to South Carolina as a teenager where he lived the remainder of his life. Donald Shetley was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and Spartanburg Technical College. He was a retired employee of Xerox Corporation, and a member of Taylors First Baptist Church where he coached basketball for many years. Donald Steve Shetley is survived by his wife, Kaye Shetley, and his three daughters: Stephanie Smith, Leslie McKinney, and Lisa Bukacek. He is also survived by two son in-laws and six grandchildren: Brandon, Kathryn, and Matthew Bukacek, and Olivia, Nathaniel, and Jonathan Smith. At his request, a graveside funeral will be held at Taylors First Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, March 24, 2022. The ceremony will be conducted by Reverend Jerry Long Donald Steve Shetley was an avid sports fan. He especially loved college football, college basketball, and NASCAR.
