Darlene Crooker

Darlene Bridget Doran Crooker, 74 passed away on June 8, 2022. Born on September 29, 1947, in Boston MA, to Roy Francis Doran and Ruth Margaret McNeil Doran. Darlene lived with her family in Massachusetts and New Hampshire while growing up. As part of a military family, Darlene also helped to raise her brothers and sisters. In New Hampshire she met her husband, Dennis and they were married on July 15, 1967. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Apostolic Lutheran Church. A gifted crafter, Darlene made beautiful floral arrangements and decorations, for her home, for others and for many weddings. Her attention to detail in everything she did showed. Anyone that has ever visited the Crooker home can tell that Darlene had a passion for interior decorating, orderliness, and cleanliness. She and Dennis would also design and build beautiful furniture that would be later displayed in their home. Surviving are her husband, Dennis Wayne Crooker of the home; a daughter, Heidi Barto (Pete) of Greer; two sons, Ryan Crooker (Michelle) of Campobello and Derek Crooker (AMY) of Spartanburg; four brothers, Dennis Doran (Cheryl) of Maine, Dale Doran (Donna) of Hancock, NH, David Doran (Di) of Wilton, NH, and Daryl Doran (Jeanne) of the Villages, FL; two sisters, Dru Gamlin (Dan) of Fremont, NH and Dawn Doran of Paterson, NJ; fifteen grandchildren, David Barto, Candace Barto, Cherokee Stenersen (Riley), Cheyenne Crooker, Clayton Crooker, Collin Crooker, Cale Crooker, Caylee Crooker, Nastasia Garabedian, Michaela Garabedian, Madison Crooker, Halle Crooker, Abigail Crooker, Isaiah Garabedian and Darci Crooker; and three great-grandchildren, Jaxon Crooker, Faith Crooker, and Axel Crooker. Darlene came from a large Irish Catholic family that she helped to raise. A large and loud family! So she would just love this, friends and family all gathered around. As she neared the end of her life, she was surrounded by her family and told them that she felt the love, support, and acceptance from them all. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Eastside Apostolic Lutheran Church, conducted by Arvi Aho and Pastor Raymond Hilman. A private burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Doran, David Doran, Daryl Doran, Ryan Crooker, Derek Crooker and Pete Barto.
