Arthur "Bo" Dempsey, Sr.

Arthur “Bo” Dempsey, 86, took flight 7:45 a.m. on December 23, 2020 to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was the youngest son of the late Verious Cleveland Dempsey and Eleanor Brewer Dempsey Alexander. After returning from a stint in the Army, he worked in textiles most of his adult life and was the President of Arts, Inc., his own textile repair business. He was a member of Apalache Baptist Church where he worked on the Building and Grounds Committee. He leaves a wife of 48 years, Norma Jean Libby Dempsey; five children, Arthur L. Dempsey, Jr., Laurie Dempsey Swan (Todd), Robert Dempsey (Kasia), Michael Dempsey, and Debbie East; one brother, Robert P. Dempsey; and two precious grandsons, Cameron Smith and Jacob Swan, that he thought the world of. He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Eddie Cooper. The family is at their respective homes.
