Obituary of Swanee Pauline Blackwell Rudisill Swanee Pauline Blackwell Rudisill, 88, of 201 Earl Drive Lyman, SC (formerly of Surfside Beach) died on May 3, 2007 at Spartanburg Restorative Care. Born on October 21, 1918 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Carrie Dobbins Blackwell. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Hubert E. (Rudy) Rudisill, Sr. and 13 brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Hubert E. (Gene) Rudisill, Jr. and Charlotte of Chapin, SC. One daughter and son-in-law Sheree Rudisill Turner.and Rodney of Lyman, SC. Six grandchildren, Corry J. Rudisill of Lyman, Nicholas S. Rudisill of Boone, NC, Kristin Rudisill Blair of Irmo and Ryan P. Alley of Lyman, Bradley D. Turner of Duncan, and Hillary D. Charles of Moore. Six great grandchildren, Abbigail & Caitliyn Rudisill, Emma-Brooke Alley, Madden Rudy Blair and Megan & Ethan Charles. She is also survived by numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews. Mrs. Rudisill was the oldest member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Wellford, SC and active member of the Wesley Bible Sunday School Class. She also was a member of the Lyman Senior Citizens Group. In addition, during her 26 years residing at Surfside Beach, she was a member of several Senior Citizen Organizations. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 5, 2007, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wood Mortuary, Greer, SC. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Robert M. Wofford, 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 1351 Main Street, Wellford, SC. Pallbearers will be Corry J. Rudisill, Nicholas S. Rudisill, Ryan P. Alley, Bradley D. Turner, Timothy Rudisill, Robert Tolleson, Robert Wyatt and Michael Galloway. Honorary escorts will be the members of the Wesley Bible Sunday School Class. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Rudisill, 201 Earl Drive, Lyman, SC.
