Born October 26, 1931 to the late Arthur W. and Martha Turner Hawkins, she was a native of Greenville County and a resident of Reidville, SC. She was a homemaker and member of Sharon United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Bennett-Brockman-Jackson Sunday School Class, the UMW, 50+ Club and the Reidville Eastern Star #46. Surviving are two daughters, Darlene S. DeYoung (Ken) and Ruby S. Vaughn (Frank) all of Reidville; two sons, Rev. Murray A. Snow (Susan) of Easley and Gene Snow (Ann) of Reidville; siblings, Richard Hawkins, Tommy Hawkins, and Gail Clippard; eight grandchildren, Linette Garrett, Vonda Hendrix, Courtney Cappell, Amanda Snow, Trisha Vaughn, Walter Vaughn, Gene Snow and Bryan Snow; Fourteen great-grandchildren, Matthew and Samantha Garrett, Kelsey Hendrix, Angela and Paige Krass, Severeign Vaughn, Madison Jackson, Kaylia and Hunter Cappell, Maddox, Hayden, Katie and Addison Snow and Haleigh McSwain; and one great-great-grandson, Karson Hendrix She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Cathy D. Krass; and great-granddaughter, Heather Garrett; 6 siblings Mildred London, Margaret McGowan, Kathleen Johnson, Shirley Hawkins, Arthur W. Hawkins, Jr. and Lawrence Hawkins. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Sharon United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Matt Yon and Rev. Murray A. Snow. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The grandchildren will act as pallbearers. Honorary escort will be the Bennett- Brockman-Jackson Sunday School Class. Special Caregiver, Vanessa Young, Special Hospice Caregivers, Beverly Phillips, Lattoya Fields and Cheri Freeman. Visitation will be held 1:30 until 3:15 pm Sunday at Sharon United Methodist Church. The family is at the home of the daughter, Darlene DeYoung, 2106 Reidville Sharon Road, Reidville.
