Patricia "Pat" Ann Leonard

Patricia “Pat” Ann Littlejohn Leonard, 69, wife of the late Gerald “Jerry” Leonard, passed away March 21, 2022. A native of Spartanburg, daughter of the late Herbert T. Littlejohn, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth O’dell Littlejohn, she was a homemaker and member of Lyman United Methodist Church, where she was active in UMW groups and the Prime-Time Senior Lunch Bunch. She belonged to the Opal Hammock Monday Bridge Club and The Azalea Garden Club of Greer. Pat was a graduate of Winthrop University and utilized her degree in Sociology to work as a social worker with the Spartanburg County Department of Social Services. Pat was an avid reader and enjoyed mysteries most of all. She loved her dog, Hobbs, and they took many morning walks together. She was close to her Lyman Lake neighbors, especially, Mina and Joyce. Pat’s passion was flowers. She loved to work in her yard growing many different kinds of flowers. She definitely had a green thumb! Her heart and soul will forever be in her gardens. She is survived by one stepdaughter, Allyson J. Leonard of Minneapolis, MN; two brothers, David Gordon Littlejohn (Michelle) of Greenville, SC and Herbert Thomas Littlejohn III of Falls Church, VA; one sister, Mary Jane Littlejohn Caruso (Anthony) of York, SC; and step-grandson, Jason Charles Leonard. She is also survived by her dear friends, who were her extended family, Brenda and Jimmy McAbee and her special “niece and nephew”, Megan Bennett and Jonah Burrell. Pat had many friends who will miss her. She had a kind word and a happy laugh for everyone. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at Lyman United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Walter Cantwell and Dr. Mitch Kyllenon. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at their respective homes. Honorary Escort will be the Opal Hammock Monday Bridge Club and the Azalea Garden Club of Greer.
