Mo Nasim

Mohammed Nasim, 90, passed away April 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A native of Lahore, Pakistan, son of the late Mir Abdul and Bebe Rahim, he earned his master’s degree from Clemson Agricultural College of South Carolina and retired after 30 years of service as an engineering professor at Greenville Technical College. He was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church. He had a love for tennis. In his career he played at Wimbledon, the French Open, the World University Championships, and was the first tennis scholarship ever at Clemson. He loved to travel the world with his wife, and made so many lasting memories. Most of all, he loved his family and being with them. He lived a sacrificial life, always thought of others first, and anyone who ever met him loved him. He was a kind and gentle man. In a world where priorities were out of order, he remained true. He loved the Lord with all his heart, he was faithful to his wife of almost 66 years, and absolutely adored his children and grandchildren with everything in him. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Langston Nasim of the home; three sons, David Nasim (Suzette) of Greer, Mark Nasim (Sherri) of Greenville, and Jim Nasim (Susan) of Greenville; two brothers, Khalid Mir of Portland, Oregon and Sapi Mir of Chicago, Illinois; a sister, Kishwar Mir of Lahore, Pakistan; ten grandchildren, Erica Gillette (Will), Alexandra Yanes (Joey), Mary Grace Meeks (Harrison), Tyler Nasim, Conner Nasim, Garrett Nasim, Victoria Nasim, Ariana Nasim, Ava Nasim, and Ella Nasim; and a great-granddaughter, Katherine Gillette, and one on the way, Sophie Yanes. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Taylors First Baptist Church conducted by Mr. David Nasim and Rev. Jerry Long. A private committal will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the gathering space at Taylors First Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Tyler Nasim, Conner Nasim, Garrett Nasim, Will Gillette, Joey Yanes, and Harrison Meeks. The James-Beard Sunday School Class of Taylors First Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Escorts. The family will be at their respective homes.
