Katie Klaiber

On Monday, June 10, 2024, Katherine Marie Klaiber, age 33, passed into the presence of her savior, Jesus Christ, after a courageous 19-month battle with brain cancer. Born February 19, 1991, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She lived most of her life in New Hampshire until moving to South Carolina in 2016. Katie will be remembered for her constant and open love for the Lord, her joy, smile, laughter, and sacrificial service and care for others. Katie will always be remembered for her ability to brighten a room, her powerful cheer and optimism in every situation, her love of Jesus, and her selfless love of others. She attended Bob Jones University, where she earned a BA in Graphic Design, and then Liberty University, where she obtained an MS in Marketing. Katie pursued a career in graphic design, working at America Fujikura Ltd. Her dedication, creativity, and kindness made a significant impact on colleagues and clients as she brought a vibrant and unique spirit to every endeavor. Outside of work, she was deeply involved with her church, family, and the United Way, all areas where she was committed to making the world a better and brighter place. She enjoyed baking and crocheting and spent cherished moments with family and friends, creating memories that will be forever treasured. Surviving are her parents, Jeff and Deb Klaiber of Lyman, South Carolina, and her brother, Matt (Susan) Klaiber of Atlanta, Georgia. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at The Wood Mortuary. A memorial service to honor Katie's life will be led by Rev. Mark Allamon and held on Friday, June 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Abner Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Abner Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the medical teams at Suburban Hematology Oncology, Snellville, Georgia, Burzynski Clinic, Houston, Texas, and Prisma Hospital, Greer and Greenville, South Carolina for their compassionate care throughout Katie's battle with cancer.
