Kathleen "Kit" Perry

Kathleen “Kit” Perry, wife of Jacob “Jake” Perry, passed away at 3:37a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Born June 30, 1938, in Port Clinton, Ohio to the late William and Madonna Sullivan. She attended Port Clinton High School where she graduated in 1957 and previously worked as a personal banker for Huntington Bank in Port Clinton, Ohio and as a receptionist for Coca-Cola in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In her lifetime as a wife and mother, her first loves were housekeeping, baking, and caring for her family. Kit married her husband Jake on September 20, 1957, in Port Clinton, Ohio and were married for 69 years. The couple has been instrumental in founding the Nazarene Church in Port Clinton, Ohio where she was the accountant for the church and actively worked in the Sunday School Ministry, she especially enjoyed working with primary-aged children. Kit was currently a member of Praise Cathedral in Greer, South Carolina where she thoroughly enjoyed the Christ-centered ministry. Mrs. Perry’s parents had over 100 descendants, and she enjoyed keeping in contact with her large family, sending out 30,000 text messages every year containing a daily devotional and prayer request. She performed this ministry until her recent declining health no longer allowed her to do so. Her life and example of Christ has left an imprint on all those who have known her and she will be sorely missed. Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Jennifer Fralick (Rick) of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Elisabeth Kiker of Taylors, South Carolina, and Jacob Perry II of Taylors, South Carolina; three granddaughters, Rachel Fralick, Hannah Kiker, and Kit Kiker; two sisters, Kay Crane of Appomattox, Virginia and Joy Friend of Inman, South Carolina; and two brothers, Dinny Sullivan and John L. Sullivan both of Port Clinton, Ohio. Mrs. Perry was predeceased by four sisters, Pat Ridley, Pam Carpenter, Sallye Lowe, and Shawn Wadsworth. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Praise Cathedral conducted by Pastor Jerry Madden. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
