Dolores B. Epperly

Lillian Dolores Bruce Epperly, 90, widow of Raymond Emmit Epperly, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016. They were married for 61 years. Born in Fairmont, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Madaline Davis Bruce Brown Sholl and Genessee Bruce, a homemaker and member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and the Christian Fellowship Sunday School class. Dolores worked as an assistant to decorators at Lazarus in Columbus, Ohio. She was a graduate of East Fairmont High School and took Business classes at a local business college. Remembering Mom and her love of family and friends, pampering my dad, and coupled with her passion for entertaining and gift of hospitality. Dolores loved to sit with you and have an in-depth conversation. She could relate many memories of past time and was genuinely interested in your future plans. She had many creative talents. She was a seamstress and designed a beautiful wedding dress for her daughter, Kathy, as well. She crocheted and painted and took great joy in decorating the home. She loved to sing and play the piano, play cards with family and friends, belonged to a Pinochle group of 12 for many years and took up golf after she and dad relocated to South Carolina. She loved to play games on her computer and keep up with you on Facebook too. Surviving are one daughter, Kathryn A. Nethers (Larry) of Greenville; one son, Philip R. Epperly (Cindy) of Pataskala, Ohio; six grandchildren, Andy Epperly, Dustin Epperly, Joe Fullen, Tiffany Carte, Jay Nethers and Tyler Nethers; and ten great-grandchildren, Harper Fullen, Tegan Fullen, Hadley Fullen, Tucker Carte, Parker Carte, Cooper Carte, Oliver Carte, Kimberly Epperly, John “Jack” Nethers, and Henry Nethers. She was also predeceased by a sister, Betty Jean Freeland. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church conducted by Pastor Alex Stevenson and Rev. Carol Allison. Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2016 in Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.
