Chloe Allison Duncan

Chloe Allison Duncan of Travelers Rest died April 26, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident involving a drunk driver. She was born December 28, 1996 in Greenville, South Carolina. Loving daughter of Sam Dexter and Lillie Santana Duncan of the home, she was a hostess for Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in Greenville and a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She graduated from Greenville Technical Charter High School and was currently enrolled at Greenville Technical College. She was an avid lover of sports, animals, hiking and music. Chloe was a kind and gentle person who loved the outdoors and her pets: lizards, Leo and Guy; Onslow the turtle; her dogs, Chico and Brutus; and Molly and Pooter, her cats. Chloe was a ray of sunshine to all she met. She brought great joy to her family and friends. Chloe was always eager to lend a hand to help anyone in need. Chloe’s life could not be saved for the Lord had better plans for her in store. Chloe will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was the kind of young woman that anyone would be proud to call daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. Also surviving are a brother, Samuel Blake Duncan of Travelers Rest; two sisters, Crystal Duncan Harvin and her husband, Trent, and their son, Coy of Easley and Samantha Duncan and Daniel Bennett and their son, Ben Duncan of Greenville; grandmother, Bessie Duncan of Bastrop, LA; fiancé, Michael Gilbert of Travelers Rest; and seven aunts and uncles. Chloe was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Ben Duncan and her maternal grandparents, Maria and Tim Santana. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, conducted by Father Jaime Gonzalez. Burial will follow in Tigerville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.
