John William Bridwell, Sr., 78, of 5565 Mountain View Road, died February 6, 2010 at Home.
A native of Greenville county, he was a son of the late Daniel F. and Ola Lark Bridwell, a member of Double Springs Baptist Church and a retired Supervisor for Homelite. He served in the SC National Guard for 20 years. John was a member of the Taylors Masonic Lodge #345 AFM.
Surviving is his wife, Bobbie Powell Bridwell, a son and daughter-in-law, John W. Bridwell, Jr. and Jackie of Greer, one sister, Ophelia Arledge of Jacksonville, Fla., two grandchildren, Trey Bridwell and Jennifer B. Lucas and her husband, Ryan, and two great-grandchildren, Rylie Lucas and Kennedy Lucas.
He was predeceased by a brother, James F. Bridwell.
Cryptside services 11 am Monday in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Chuck Auten.
The family is at the home, visitation will be from 10 am until 10:40 am Monday at the Wood Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
