Ronald Franklin Broome, 67, died May 14, 2009 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Mt. Holly, North Carolina, son of the late James Franklin and Floy Edwards Broome, he was a U.S. Marine veteran, a retired employee of U.S. Air, and a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. Mr. Broome was a devoted husband, father, son, and friend and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Crew Broome of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Scott and Veronica Powell Broome of Greer; and a sister, Joan Beal of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Zoar United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Jimmy Dillard. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Visitation will be held after the service at the church.
The family is at the home.
