Timothy Duane Balliew, 53, of 9 Haynes Street, died April 6, 2009 at his residence.
A native of Spartanburg county, son of the late Paul and Goldie Hollifield Balliew, he was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was a devoted husband, father and a proud and doting grandfather known as “Poppy”.
Surviving are his wife, Carren Curtis Balliew of the home; a son, Heath T. Sellers of Greenville; a brother, Jerry Balliew of Greer; a sister, Paulette Anderson of Greer and two grandchildren, Aiden Sellers and Brendan Sellers.
Mr. Balliew was predeceased by two brothers, Paul “P.J.” Balliew, Jr. and Keith Daniel Balliew.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Hall Hollifeld and Rev. Jimmy Dillard. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of the mother-in-law, Wilma Curtis, 418 Pennsylvania Ave., Greer, S.C. 29650.
